The mature dragons at Fort Weyr are as following: 2 Indigo, 2 Orange, 2 Periwinkle, 2 Fuchsia, 2 Bronze, 1 Charcoal, 1 Brown, 2 Malachite, 3 Blue, 3 Heliotrope, 4 Green, 3 Sangria and 3 Saffron.
Well Fort Weyr was the first of the eight Weyrs established by the 9th Pass, it was by far not the most grandest. Fort Weyr was the first of the elite Weyrs and. It is located in the mountains of the Southwestern peninsula of the Northern Continent. It was built primarily using high tech sonic/plasma stone cutters to form perfectly smooth walls absent in later Weyrs. Created when the population was forced to desert the Southern Continent during the Second Crossing, Fort Weyr housed the original dragonriders and dragons. Including Sorka, the first Weyrwoman of Pern and bonded one of Faranth. Unfortunately like the rest of the North, Fort Weyr did not escape the bombing during the invasion. Well it has since then been maintained as one of the central places for Valde armies. There weren’t any dragons in the Weyr for over a hundred turns until the capture of Magne and twenty other mutant dragons. The Valde made Fort Weyr as it had been for thousands of turns, remaking all positions. The General in charge of the dragon and wher experiments, _______ has been very openminded to whatever the history books said dragons and their riders, whers and their handlers needed. Rumors fly that he is doing this because of romantic inclinations to Weyrwoman Magne, but they haven’t been proven. Fort Weyr gets tithes not only from Ruatha Hold, Fort Hold and South Boll Hold but all the Northern Holds. In order to keep the captured dragons and watch-whers from escaping, there is an electrical barrier five miles surrounding the entire Weyr. The watch-whers and dragons also have a very heavy and thick metal collar which has technology that has top security so that the Malachites can’t breach it and when a dragon or watch-wher goes to leave, the Valde can make an electrical current spasm through their entire body until they collapse. The riders and handlers were similar collars; however their collars are connected into their spinal cord in their brain and can be similarly made to send spasms through their bodies.
The mature watch-whers at Fort Den are as following: 1 Isabelline, 2 Carmine, 1 Coral, 1 Gold, 2 Turquoise, 2 Bronze, 3 Maroon, 2 Brown, 2 Rose, 3 Blue, 2 Onyx, 3 Green and 2 Thistle.
Fort Den was newly constructed out of the Crafter’s Barracks which are beside the Hatching Grounds in the Halls. Valde guards are kept near the front and each individual den has its own bathroom and a bedroom and a small front room. There is a meeting room for the Den leaders and its own Dining Hall. There is also a newly constructed entranceway between the Hatching Grounds so that way the dragons and whers lay eggs at the same place. Currently the Senior Wherlady here is called the Whermaster, since the Valde refuse to acknowledge Whermaster Richard B. Riddick.
